Laura Graham

Founder & President

Sue Graham

In January 2011, I started 1Closet with the help of my mom, Sue (Founder).  Together we turned an idea to reality and have positively impacted the lives of more than 20,000 teenagers living in foster care and youth shelters.  We partner with high schools & companies to hold clothing drives for teen basics like jeans, T-shirts, athletics, coats/sweaters and accessories. We promote self-expression, confidence, and success through desirable clothing. All donated garments are hand sorted, sized and boxed for easy distribution to social service agencies throughout the East Bay and beyond.

Riley Glasson

Riley established a permanent donation site in addition to a partnership with local retailers and the first University Donation Drive partnering with California State University, East Bay.  She continued to expand 1Closet donations for all teenagers in need of clothing. Riley says, “I express myself through clothes, it’s a way to present yourself however you want and allows you to feel comfortable with your appearance and be confident.  I want to empower teens helping them become confident and self-assured.  By providing them with an opportunity to dress in a way that makes them happy, they are able to focus on critical decisions in their life, such as their education and their future.  Making a difference to teenagers locally is my mission.”
